Here at Beekeeping For Hope we believe that nature needs to be experienced to build a deeper appreciation and understanding. We aim to connect children and adults with these amazing pollinators, in a practical and engaging way, in order to share our passion and leave a lasting impression. We want to spread awareness of the decline of our honeybee populations, outlining the reasons for their decline and the effects this has on agriculture and the ecosystem.
CHILDRENS WORKSHOPS
THEORY
During each one-hour lesson, we delve into the intricate dynamics of a honeybee colony. In the first half of the workshop, we explore the essential tools and equipment required for successful beekeeping.
PRACTICAL
The second part of the workshop offers a hands-on experience where you will have the opportunity to open and inspect an active colony.
BECOMING A BEEKEEPER EXPERIENCE (OVER 18’s)
